Fabricated vertical stabilizer forward attachment with installed nutplates on the RV-12iS tailcone top skin

The tailcone is complete—a major milestone in the RV-12iS empennage build.

For now, the project is paused while I wait for backordered parts to ship from Van’s Aircraft.

We fabricated this attachment and installed the nutplates before mounting it to the tailcone top skin. It provides the threaded attachment point for the forward portion of the vertical stabilizer.
